Calling

London is calling

Falling in the snow

Waiting for my footsteps

To make it through the war

Inside my mind

The battle wages no more

I know my place among the stars

Where she shines upon the ground

Glittering buttercup symphonies

Rise and fall for us

To sing along the grassland hills

Where my heart it waits to roam

Shivering in the cave lights call

I.isten to.myheart as it learns

The way to devour the fear

Upon a midnight quay I stand

to remember forever more

My dear who listens to my voice

She wrote me a poem

A sonnet and a song

With a lonely refrain to cast

A hook of love sweet tune

To embrace beneath the falling

Roar of the waterfalls last hope

One step removed i roam

Among the shadows and the time

To watch the world’s smile

Shimmer to shine among

The heartache and the crime

No prison cell to hold me

No chain to keep me down

She holds the key for me

To sing my endless love

Where do you go to

When you’re lying alone

In a double bed

Far from the middle

Close to the edge

And all that you dreamed

Has fizzled and gone

But the lights still a burning

And the hearts still alive

Where do you go to

You turn to her eyes

And sink to your knees

And pray to the sun

Or.the moon or whatever

You call a god or a demon

When you ain’t never

Going to be the big time winner

And wouldn’t want to be

But hope you don’t see the

Jack ass losers spot up close

And you dreaming of a day

And writing of a midnight

And the moon ain’t whinging

And the children deep sleeping

And your lusts all a.pounding

And you ain’t got no relief

And the whiskey ain’t expensive

But it cuts your throat and

Lines it flow with your soul

You look but can’t see

Her shadow in the light

You wake up to think

Her absence to be

The same as putting your lips

To the rim of an empty champagne

Glass broken not stirred

With the love of her touch

And you ain’t sure where

Your going and no.matter

How much you try you can’t

Recall where you been

You can’t see the answer

In the road of their song

Hollow and abandoned

The sound effects

Are brutal

The smoke ain’t green

And she smiles

And it’s all gone

To her and you
